MBI6655为恒流、高亮度、降压型直流对直流转换器，可提供LED室内/户外照明应用具成本效益的解决方案，仅需5个外部组件，即可为大电流LED照明提供稳定之电流。MBI6655使用Hysteretic PFM架构设计，不需要外部补偿电路，因此可简化电路设计。

MBI6655的输出电流可透过不同阻值的外接电阻来调整各输出级的电流大小，且可在DIM脚连接脉宽调变(PWM)讯号进行调光控制。

MBI6655的特色还包括一系列完整的IC保护装置。启动过流保护装置(Start-Up)功能可限制IC因电源启动时所产生的突波电流。过热断电装置(TP)和过电流(OCP)装置可确保系统稳定度，且LED开路与短路保护机制也可避免IC在不正常运作的情况下损毁。MBI6655目前提供散热性佳的SOT-89-5L和SOP-8L两种封装。

MBI6655 is a step-down constant-current high-brightness LED driver to provide a cost-effective design solution for interior/exterior illumination applications. It is designed to deliver constant current to light up high power LED with minimum 4 external components. With hysteretic PFM control scheme, MBI6655 eliminates external compensation design and simplifies the PCB design.

The output current of MBI6655 can be programmed by an external resistor and dimmed via pulse width modulation (PWM) through DIM pin. MBI6655 features complete protection design to handle faulty situations. （call 0755-82134672）The start-up function limits the inrush current while the power is switched on. Under voltage lock out (UVLO), over temperature protection (OTP), and over current protection (OCP) guard the system to be robust and keep the driver away from being damaged which results from LED open-circuited, short-circuited and other abnormal events.

MBI6655 provides thermal-enhanced SOT-89 and SOP-8 packages as well to handle power dissipation efficiently.
